Step 1: Settling into your luxury villa

Your adventure begins at Chania International Airport, just a 25-minute drive from the city. As soon as you arrive, remember to hire a car directly from the airport to ensure your stay is totally self-sufficient. The road to your villa passes through typical Cretan countryside: olive groves, sun-drenched hills and charming villages.

Once you've arrived, take the time to settle into your luxury villa. Explore the grounds, take advantage of the modern facilities such as the private pool and panoramic terrace, and let the serenity of the place wash over you. This will be your retreat after every day of exploring.

Stage 2: Exploring the old town of Chania

In the late afternoon, set off for your first visit to the old town of Chania. The cobbled streets, lined with historic buildings of Venetian and Ottoman influence, exude an authentic charm. Discover the Topanas district, where the architecture tells the story of Crete. Stop off at the Venetian port, an emblematic place where fishing boats and luxury yachts rub shoulders harmoniously.

The lighthouse at Chania, built in the 16th century, is a must-see. At sunset, the golden reflections on the water create a magical atmosphere, perfect for memorable photos.

Stage 3: Evening stroll around the port

Round off your first day with dinner in a traditional taverna. Order typical dishes such as simmered lamb stew or dakos, a mixture of crusty bread, tomatoes and feta cheese. Accompany your meal with a glass of raki, the local drink. The Cretans are renowned for their hospitality, and this convivial moment will mark the start of your immersion in the local culture.
